APSARA Authority Announces New Recording Requirements for Angkor Resort

Phnom Penh: To facilitate smoother processes for the public, as well as national and international guests and tourism operators, the APSARA Authority has issued a notification revising the requirements for video and photo recording services at the Angkor resort. The updated guidelines are outlined below:

A. Business-Related Recordings

All recordings intended for business purposes require an application and a fee. This category includes:

1. Production of films of all types and sizes.

2. Video and image recordings for music videos, entertainment programs, documentaries, commercials, guidebooks, catalogs, and magazines, for both local and international promotion.

3. Video and image recordings using drone equipment.

B. Non-Business Recordings

Recordings for non-business purposes require an application but are free of charge. This includes recordings by official press, both local and foreign, for promotional purposes.

C. Personal Recordings

Recordings not covered under categories A and B do not require an application or payment. This includes recordings for social media platforms (such as Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok) made with mobile phones or personal cameras, as well as photos taken in wedding dresses or traditional attire for personal keepsakes.

The APSARA Authority has provided a new service list and price list, which will be effective immediately from the date of this notification.
